American Beer Blogger

Here is yet another attempt at a craft beer themed TV show. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it, but these shows never seem to last (remember Brew Masters with Dogfish Head's Sam Calagione on Discovery?). It seems that funding for the show is not even secured yet, and we are being invited to help. The promo looks good, and it may be a worthwhile investment if it gets off the ground. I wonder if anyone would pay me to travel the country drinking beer? Stay tuned!

  1. Hey, no one's paying me...yet!
Thanks for the mention. We're gonna give it a shot, and really talk about beer, and brewers, and people who love beer. Only done one day of taping, and it was a lot of fun. Cheers!

  2. I wish you all the best. I really hope it works out, because a show like this could do a lot for the craft beer movement. Look me up if you're ever in San Diego, we have an awesome beer scene going on here.

  3. I don't think the craft beer movement needs much help... it's chugging along just fine. What I think this show will bring to the table is a fun and informative look at craft beer and the people who make it happen. Looks kind of like the craft beer version of "Dirty Jobs". With all due respect to Sam and Dogfish, this show will take a much more diverse look at the craft beer world and I think it has a much better shot.

    Cheers

  4. Agreed, but I still believe that to the masses, craft beer is a bit of a mystery. I can't tell you the number of people I talk to who think, "beer is beer". Craft beer has made huge strides the past few years, but more publicity never hurts. As far as Sam's show, it was very good, but more of a Dogfish Head vehicle rather than a general source of craft beer information.
