Neptune's Nectar from Coronado Brewing Co. is one of my favorite offerings from the island bound brewer. This 8.5% Belgian strong ale has a rich, malty aroma and a cloudy, dense appearance. It has a huge mouthfeel, and an almost thick consistency. Initially it is quite sweet, but trails off into a slightly bitter finish. This is a fairly complex brew and deserves a taste. You can try this at the brewery restaurant by the glass or growler fill, or in 22 ounce bottles which should be available at your favorite beer retailer sometime this week. If you go into the restaurant, Sunday is the best day to go as growler fills are only $6! That's a steal for a beer of this caliber. Now I'm going to finish my glass, and possibly growler, so go get your own!
